ABOUT US

From a Denver attic comes a different kind of political podcast: one rooted in friendship, truth-telling, and community. Each week, Ana and Deep unpack life and politics as two friends trying to stay informed, civically engaged, and hopeful while navigating their own big life transitions.

Who we are.

Hosted by longtime friends and former teachers turned scientist and attorney, we’re here to inform, laugh, and organize so listeners can turn outrage into action and feel a little less alone in the fight to rebuild a left that wins.

  • Ana Mitchell, Ph.D., is a former CDC scientist turned civic coach and creator. With over a decade advancing health equity as a researcher, educator, and civil servant, she found herself unexpectedly laid off due to federal cuts. This sparked a new calling to help others fight despair with action through civic participation. She’s rebranded civic engagement as civic fitness, a lifestyle that makes civic action accessible, authentic, and sustainable to build community power for a stronger democracy. Ana lives in Denver, where she’s often socializing, dancing, or staying active.

  • Deep Singh Badhesha is a Colorado-based attorney, political strategist, and policy advocate working to build a more just and equitable state. He’s led legislative and intergovernmental efforts on education, housing, labor, and transportation to advance policies that strengthen communities and benefit the working class.

A former Colorado Supreme Court clerk and Senior Policy Analyst for the General Assembly, Deep brings both legal precision and political instincts to his work. Beyond the Capitol, he’s a trusted voice in Colorado politics, advising campaigns from local races to statewide efforts.

Deep lives in Denver with his wife and daughter. You’ll find him around town exploring the food scene, orchestrating over-the-top board game nights, or planning the next family adventure.
